EMS Aviation

An aero connectivity leader, EMS Aviation designs and manufactures satellite-based broadband communication systems that enable worldwide high-speed Internet, voice and video capabilities. EMS Aviation’s customer base includes the Who’s Who in the corporate, VIP and military aero market. The division also serves as a dominant avionics hardware supplier to the major OEM industry players, Honeywell, Boeing and Rockwell Collins. While EMS Aviation dominates the Inmarsat market, as the first manufacturer to ship Inmarsat SwiftBroadband equipment, EMS increasingly is expanding its product breadth to serve Iridium and other growth aero sectors.

Customers requiring connectivity, ruggedized data storage or other wireless capabilities turn to EMS Aviation.  The division designs and manufactures  proven and qualified hardware and software solutions for the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.

The division’s hardware and software solutions currently serve the industry’s top aircraft OEMs, such as Rockwell Collins, Aircell, Row 44, Airbus and Lockheed Martin, which need systems that won’t interfere with existing on-board electronics. Other customers include major high-tech electronics manufacturers such as Panasonic and defense tier two suppliers such as L-3 Communications, which uses EMS Aviation data storage systems for Boeing’s Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft program.

Led by a team of industry aviation experts, engineers and pilots, EMS Aviation understands the need for affordable, reliable voice and tracking solutions when it counts most – while fighting wildfires, while tracking a medivac flight, or while evacuating offshore oil crews before a hurricane hits.

EMS Aviation pioneered the first airborne use of Iridium-based satellite communications, and has since successfully leveraged its Iridium expertise to develop new products and services for all types of aircraft. Today, it dominates the market for Iridium-based voice and tracking systems for aircraft. EMS Aviation’s industry-leading tracking services provide support and safety for people flying wide varieties of missions, including off-shore oil, emergency air transport, fire suppression, air taxi and military operations.
